Well, I am wrapping up eleven months of doing my best to connect through the world of newsletters and blogs.
In February I started off with a simple mission: “To share concise stories that inspire and connect our communities, and those stories will hopefully support the idea that we are all in this together.”
“Seize the moment. Remember all those women on the ‘Titanic’ who waved off the dessert cart.” —Erma Bombeck
The following months provided much to story tell. In March a call to action: take good care of yourself! April was about leaning on professional guidance and personal connections, 2019 gave me plenty of opportunities to practice what I was preaching.
May, June, July and August focused on a few of the JBH&A Associates. September about building bridges, October about burning bridges and November’s brief was a gentle reminder to think charitably, especially with the upcoming holidays.
I suppose I have been all over the place, but, hey, that’s the kind of hairpin I am. I do know that through the brief, I have strengthen my connections with many friends and associates, as well as reconnected with a few. Most of all, I have an expanded sense of appreciation for the JBH&A clients and JBH&A peeps. They are all so important and I thank them from the bottom of my heart.
To all our clients and all the Associates:
“May the road rise up to greet you every single day of your life.”
Read (and print) the Poem “Success”.. Applies to how I feel these days.
As we start filling our schedules for January 2020 I would like to suggest that we get together, coffee, lunch, happy hour. I’m open to just about any venue: The Pyramid Club, Zakes Café, Reading Terminal Market, let’s just make it a point to spend some time together.
Kevin Kniffin is onto something here:
“There’s a different kind of intimacy that comes with sharing food and drink with somebody. The kind of bonding that can come through eating together has value in terms of cohesiveness in the work team.”
Let’s eat!
My mission for the brief in 2020 remains the same: share stories, connect communities and propagate the principle that we are all in this together. Hope to hear from you soon.
Have a Magical Day,
Jane, CEO, Jane Barr Horstman & Associates
